Ok so after last game I thought Darren's self confidence was shot. He didn't score a point and even left the field before he was through playing. It was a struggle to get him in the car let alone on the field today. But he was victorious! He even scored 3 goals! But most of all he had FUN! and can't wait for his next game. This is one proud soccer mom!

Back to school!
Cordon started his first day of preschool today. He was as excited as Cordon can get. He watched Darren get to go all last year and so he was ready to get his turn. They alternate days going to preschool so I get alone time with each of them when we are at home and Cam is napping.
Cordon loves his teacher already and when we got home he asked if he could go back. He was a little picky about his clothes this morning but what to you expect from a kid who threw a fit after I wouldn't buy him pink daisy dukes.
You can't really see it in this picture but Darren had a minor black eye and a cut under his eye glued and taped up. At least we didn't have to wait in line to get him fixed up! Thanks Dad. This is Darren's second year (No he didn't flunk, its a two year preschool) with Miss Cathy! She is so great and we decided to stick around Provo so we can have another year with her.
He had his first game on Thursday and it was a lot of fun to watch. I did have to remind Darren that he is on a TEAM and not to get mad when his own team mates scores.
Darren tends to get distracted. I think that it is the age though because he was not the only one that just walks off the field to get a drink or snack or to just sit down in the shade when they are supposed to be out playing.

I think Im going to like it here!
So the long awaited day has arrived. We finally got the keys to our (my) dream home. I really do love it and I think it truly is the perfect fit for us. So far everything seems to be working ship shape as far as we can tell since not quite all of the utilities are turned on. The yard is overgrown since it has been empty for a year but that can be fixed with a little sweat equity.
I keep thinking of the 80's movie "Money Pit" and all the trouble we could run into but so far so good, no bathtubs have crashed through the second floor yet.
The boys LOVE all the space and wear themselves out running around. Of course, cordon is scared of the basement but will go down there if we all do.
Here is a picture of the front door as we are about to enter the first time. We were all very excited. Lance's parents met us for dinner at 10:30 to celebrate. Yes, that is pm. Lance's dad was just on his lunch break he had to go back and bail hay the entire night since it was supposed to rain in the morning. The boys will be about 2 miles from their cousins so they are soooo excited to see them more often. This is the picture Darren took of Lance carrying me over the threshold for the first time.
